What is Rapid Detox?
Rapid Detox is also known as Rapid Detoxification, ultra rapid detox, detox under anesthesia, anesthesia assisted detox.
The concept of rapid detoxification is to block the opioid receptors in the brain while the patient is sedated. Rapid detox greatly reduces the severity of the withdrawal symptoms that the patient experiences, as well as the potentially life-threatening risk of going through withdrawal "cold turkey".
Rapid detoxification is not a cure for opioid dependence. It is only the first step in what must be an overall drug rehabilitation program. Along with following the personalized aftercare maintenance plan the patient will greatly improve their chance for successfully transitioning to a drug free life.
ODI is the ONLY state licensed rapid detox program in the US
- The State of New Jersey's Department of Human Services Division of Addiction Services has set the standards for patient care and safety for rapid detox procedures
- ODI documents its performance against the state standards
- All ODI physicians and counselors must meet state licensing and certification requirements
- ODI complies with HIPAA security standards for patient confidentiality
- ODI's performance is reviewed by the state annually for license renewal
- No other rapid detox program in America is held to the performance standards that ODI is
Is Rapid Detox Right For You?
Opiate addiction is a serious illness that needs to be treated with understanding and clinical excellence. ODI provides individuals with opiate drug addictions a fast, safe, and confidential way to break the cycle of addiction and begin the process of living a drug-free life.
From your first phone call until the time you leave, our dedicated team of experienced and highly trained physicians, nurses, and therapists provide the most advanced patient care. The patent pending General Anesthesia Assisted Opiate Detoxification (GAAOD) rapid detox procedure limits patient risk of over-exposure to general anesthesia to 30 minutes and avoids the painful symptoms of opiate withdrawal. We help patients develop a personalized after-care maintenance plan that addresses their unique physical, mental, and emotional needs in transitioning to an opiate-free life.
Patient safety is a top priority at ODI. Patients receive a comprehensive "executive-level" physical to identify and resolve key issues before treatment. All ODI rapid detox procedures are performed in a hospital to ensure the highest level of medical care. After treatment, ODI continues to be your resource during the critical stabilization period of your transition to a drug-free life.
