Meet ODI’s multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals:

Richard Z. Lipsky, MD, Medical Director
Richard Z. Lipsky, MD, President

Dr. Lipsky is recognized as a leading expert on rapid detox who is sought-out for his opinions. He has over 22 years experience as an anesthesiologist. He did his training as an internist at Cabrini Medical Center, New York, and as anesthesiologist at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, New York. Dr. Lipsky served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Pascack Valley Hospital Foundation for more than 10 years. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Lipsky is highly acclaimed for having revolutionized the rapid detox field by developing ODI’s exclusive, patent pending General Anesthesia Assisted Opiate Detoxification (GAAOD) treatment protocol, which reduces the patient risk of exposure to general anesthesia to under half an hour. He has successfully treated hundreds of people with opiate addiction. Components of the GAAOD are included in a teaching module for physicians by Abbott Laboratories. The GAAOD has been featured on a National Geographic channel special on drug addiction, as well as on episodes of NBC News’ “Dateline” and CNN.

Dr. Lipsky has an additional area of expertise in pain management. He has spent over 15 years doing research into interventional pain management. He is a Diplomate of both the American Academy of Pain Management and the American Board of Disability Analysis. Dr. Lipsky is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Lipsky has extensive experience and expertise in both Pain Management and Rapid Detox. He is uniquely qualified to assist patients in building a personalized maintenance plan that addresses their pain issues after detox.

 
Jacob H. Jacoby, MD, Ph.D, Clinical Director

Dr. Jacoby is a leading expert in addiction medicine and has held directorships at numerous addiction treatment programs. He has over 25 years of experience in pharmacology and psychiatry. Dr. Jacoby did his post doctoral training at several institutions, including MIT. He has been recognized as one of “The Best Doctors in New York” by New York Magazine and as one of “The Top Doctors” by New Jersey Monthly Magazine. He is a licensed psychiatrist in both New York and New Jersey. Dr. Jacoby is Board Certified by both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Jacoby has been the principal investigator in several research projects focusing on brain function. He has taught courses on substance abuse and psychopharmacology at both the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. Dr. Jacoby has authored numerous articles and books on the chemistry of the brain and related behavioral issues. He is actively involved in several professional associations, and has served as President of the North Jersey Psychiatric Society.

Dr. Gorman has over 20 years experience as an anesthesiologist. He is widely published on opioids and their use in pain management and addiction. Dr. Gorman did postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. He has been serving as the Director of Division of Anesthesiology at Pascack Valley Hospital for more than 7 years. Dr. Gorman is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and is a member of both the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Society of Anesthesiology.

Mrs. Soloff is ODI’s ambassador. She greets every perspective patient with compassion and understanding during the very difficult first phone call; letting each know that they are not alone and that ODI can help. Joyce uses her extensive managerial experience to make sure ODI runs smoothly, handling all patient arrangements and admissions with grace and complete confidentiality. She is dedicated to making ODI a welcoming and compassionate environment. Every ODI patient sees Joyce as the embodiment of the ODI values: hope for a drug-free future.

 
Victoria R. Kaczkowski, LPC, LCADC, Counselor
Victoria R. Kaczkowski, LPC, LCADC, Counselor

Mrs. Kaczkowski has over 20 years experience in alcohol and drug abuse counseling. She is published in the Journal of Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her career, Mrs. Kaszkowski has held a wide variety of counseling positions, both as a counselor and as an administrator. She holds degrees from Valparaiso University and the University of Akron. In addition to her position at ODI, Mrs. Kaszkowski is the Clinical Supervisor at West Bergen Mental Healthcare.
